Les Washington has been proudly providing quality professional services here in Kansas City, Missouri now since 2012. Born and raised here in this amazing city, he found his calling at the age of 15 when he gave his first haircut to a friend in the garage. Not knowing at the time, after watching a youtube haircut tutorial, that as the years passed he would grow a passionate flame for this age old art. In 2019 he decided to take his career to the next level and open Catalyst Barber Co. This profession has helped him grow to be the enthusiastic, driven, and courageous man that he is today; also giving him the opportunity to empower, uplift, and help people feel great about themselves.
Tevon Taylor

Born and raised here in Kansas City, Tevon Taylor has been cutting hair for 3-4 years now but has been spreading cheer for a lifetime, branding himself as an upbeat and genuinely enthusiastic individual. Originally a class clown and athlete, he tore his ACL his sophomore year of high school. This event lead him to searching out something else he could find passion in, soon after turning to barbering. "Look good, feel good," is one of Tevon's quintessential sayings, and from this he derives a driven attitude that feeds his soul. Choosing the beauty of being able to be involved in a profession that still allows for him to remain himself. Delivering fresh fades, drawing bright smiles, and good laughs; Tevon is your guy!

What's up?! I’m Paola, a professional barber with 9 years of experience. After a brief break, I discovered that barbering is my true passion, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Catalyst team, where I can connect with clients and create amazing styles. Outside of barbering, I’m an avid gamer. I love how video games transport me to different worlds, allowing me to explore new adventures and unleash my creativity. Just like in gaming, I see barbering as an art form; each cut and style is a chance to craft something unique and personal for my clients. Whether I’m shaping a fresh look or diving into a new game, I’m all about creating immersive experiences that bring joy and confidence. Hey, it’s your girl D’Lyjah! I’m excited to share my journey from a 9-to-5 to pursuing my passion in barbering. During the pandemic, I picked up clippers and cut hair for my grandpa, which sparked my love for the craft. After exploring schools in Kansas City, Missouri (the 816!), I dove into barbering and launched my brand, HERkutz. Now, I offer clients stylish cuts and styles all in one chair—transforming my creativity into walking masterpieces. I’ve learned that “the magic I was looking for was within the work I was avoiding.” And trust me, “I’m about my bread, so I need the whole loaf!”

Hi there! I’m Cheyenne, but you can call me Chy or Chey (Shay). I’m a queer female barber, and I take great pride in my sobriety. Although I’m new to Kansas City, I moved to Missouri in 2021. I’ve been in the barbering industry since 2019, but I took a break during the pandemic to pursue a career in engineering. While that experience was valuable, I found myself longing for the creativity and connection that barbering offers. I’m excited to reclaim that part of myself and return to the craft I love.
